A hand-rolled cigarette
Roll-your-own (RYO) often called Rolleys, Roll Ups or Hand Rolled means to a cigarette with loose tobacco and rolling papers. RYO products are sold as a pouch of tobacco with enough tobacco to prepare more than 40 hand-rolled cigarettes with the rolling papers provided in the pouch. They are also sold separately for those who wish to buy variant papers or include filters.
RYO products give smokers the ability to roll cigarettes of any size they choose and hence adjust the strength of the smoke. According to the Wikipedia article on Roll-Your-Owns, they usually contain no additives. Roll-your-own cigarettes are also preferred by some smokers because they are cheaper than machine-made cigarettes and for the ritual of rolling up.
